NCR Ranger - At Ease...by *JayCosplay

Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Costumes / Cosplay & Role-Playing

This is my NCR Ranger from Fallout: New Vegas. I built this and debuted it at AyaCon 2011. I made it from scratch using EVA foam, cardboard and a few other materials. Once each item was constructed it was then painted to make it all look weathered used.

Total Time: 4 Weeks for Jacket, Mask, Helmet, Gun, Body Armour, Gloves and Belts.

This costume has been featured on Kotaku.com, Bethesda Blog and Steam News.

Wow! This has incredible detail! I was actually gonna try to make one of these, but I figured out I'm really limited on money. Now I'm sad!
But, I was astonished when I first saw this. The amount of detail put in this is incredible, and the laser rifle with it makes it look completely badass.

I would love to wear that armor to school one day with the laser rifle in the middle of class and just sit down casually and see what people say. Nw if only the lase rifle worked, then i could blast my Physics teacher till he was nothin but ash lol. got to love laser rifles

I then sprayed it black and did a brush metal effect on it to make it look old. Hey presto. It's a good size gun so fits an adult hand more than well do is great for the costume.
